1. Tailsonic the Fox
Development for this game started all the way back to when I was still in the MNVED school building. (at least I think it was before the OC)
Also, in that time in development, the game was supposed to have its own system you could play it on, but it got scrapped because of limitations.
There was more than a lot of things that got scrapped in that early of development, but some of it actually will turn into what we know now as Tailsonic the Fox.
A while after this, one day at Kids' Club, I talked to my friend Garrett about naming my Instagram's profile picture. It was an image of Tails reskinned with different colors.
He told me to name it Tailsonic, And that's mostly the game and Tailsonic's backstory.
Project Tailsonic
This started when I planned on releasing a demo version of Tailsonic the Fox in 2026. The original idea was that if it got a certain number of plays, I would schedule a date for a full release.
As you guys know, this was scrapped, and with its announcement on March 28, 2022, three days after its original release, the idea changed into allowing others to come up with ideas for the demo version.
And, with its new official development stage in 2023, the official unfinished version of the demo will be released under my Gamebanana page, and on other socials, too.
Making a Website
This started following the very first version of the Tailsonic the Fox game, Sonic WindowsZone: Tailsonic Edition (also known as Tailsonic the Fox Version 0.1 officially). I will feature this on the list as well, but not in this part.
I first tried using Squarespace, which I kind of got used to for the most of it. But of course, Squarespace has a trial period for websites. So, two weeks after the first site's release, it was taken down.
But then I came across Wix. I saw so many ads for this on YouTube (not the reason why I use it), and it doesn't have a trial period, even though some things are limited. (You're most likely reading this on the site right now) And so, that leads to today.
2. FNF: Vs. Tailsonic (Returning in Rhythm Battle)
Ever wondered what most of the Tailsonic tracks on Online Sequencer were for? They were for a FNF mod that got scrapped and then replanned, featuring Tailsonic. This was, and is still known as FNF: Vs. Tailsonic.
The Start
Development for Vs. Tailsonic started when I was still in the Saint Peter Middle School. Most of the sketches started in STEM class, but the songs started a bit earlier. Some of these tracks are: Tailsonic, 2026, Demo, and, of course, Project.
The scrap, and the replan
The main reason to why this mod was scrapped was mostly because of making a mod for FNF (for me) would probably be a bit hard. And it kind of stayed the same way ever since.
...Well, until Project got over 100 plays.
A bit recently, I uploaded a video to my gaming channel on YouTube showcasing an unfinished chart and snippets of an in-game Project track.
And what did that do? The video hasn't really done much right now, but the Project track got over 100 plays since a while ago. (side note: over 200 plays now) After what happened with that, I replanned a newer version of the mod, with the same title.
Later developments
So, with all that said, how is development on it now? Well... More development than I originally thought. For the past few days at the High School, I've been working on sketches for the main storyline for the mod, and most of them are done! Also, the first part of the one and only Project track now has an in-game version. (this can be found on my SoundCloud, and the Music page)
Edit: As of November 19, 2022, the mod has been halted because of genre reasons.
DOUBLE EDIT: As of February 27th, 2023, the mod is returning in the Tailsonic the Fox mod: Rhythm Battle.
3. Foxul
Foxul is the latest installment in Project Tailsonic, and is actually the very first actual program I have managed to work on. It's supposed to be a different version of YouTube, but in Tailsonic style. (Not like the command prompt program like it is right now). Anyway, nothing else to say about that.
4. Sonic WindowsZone: Tailsonic Edition
As stated in the Website part of #1, Sonic WindowsZone: Tailsonic Edition was the very first verion of the main Tailsonic game, version 0.1.
But for right now, Tailsonic Edition is just a reskin of Tails, and added the new feature for Tailsonic to look up in his down sprite. Newer versions contain new characters, like CMO, and Metabot, mega versions of the characters, reskins of mostly everything else (the first video on the Videos page for example) and some coordinate fixes. (Plus, the old version of Foxul (originally was FoxelTube)) [will be uploaded soon] The new version, 4.0, will contain Fiercebot, and probably some more coordinate fixes, along with the second version of Foxul.
5. Zone Layouts on CSS (Classic Sonic Simulator)
So, you may've noticed I added my Roblox profile on the Socials page. Well, it's mainly because of Classic Sonic Simulator.
I have currently worked on layouts for Twist Tunnel Exit Zone, an original zone that was made by me in CSS, and Zen Hill Zone Act 1, which is under the name Chill Zone.
So, the main 2 parts for TTF are almost done, [besides trying to add the flying sprites to SWZ: TE], and then I move on to the menus and all that.
Jason (and probably others) will be helping me with the menus since I don't exactly know how to code any of that myself.
6. Tailsonic the Fox: Musical Rhythm
So, the reason why the label for this project is pointing to Vs. Tailsonic is because that the Vs. Tailsonic mod has been halted, and has now became Tailsonic the Fox: Musical Rhythm. The mod is currently being done from scratch, even though not much is scrappable since only the icons and music exists. Though, this mod is set to release in 2024, and will be, since the main game has to be released before any of the mods.
7. Other Mods
There has been some things I haven't covered yet, such as other Tailsonic the Fox mods. So, let's get started!
Tailsonic the Fox: Time Travel
If you haven't been on my Instagram, you may not know about this mod. During Project Tailsonic's NEW Early Development Stage (which was explained in #1), I asked people to give me ideas for mods. The new merch designer, Nancy W, thought of something like "Tailsonic and CMO go back in time to meet his grandparents, and see what they liked to do when they were his age.". This is the new concept for Time Travel, which is the very first Tailsonic the Fox mod. (Sonic WindowsZone: Tailsonic Edition is not considered a mod, but instead an early version of the main game.)
Tailsonic the Fox: The Crossover
This is the very second Tailsonic the Fox mod, and hasn't gone back into development until just recently through an Instagram post. I will try my best to avoid spoilers.
This mod started development when I was working on an Online Sequencer track (cannot mention the name otherwise it'll give away the major spoiler). I made a few more tracks, and I made the recent poster image for the mod.
Tailsonic the Fox: Developer Edition
This is one of the newer Tailsonic the Fox mods. Developer Edition is, well, a developer build of the main game. The tracks for this mod will be from the original game except 8 bit. (I cannot yet clarify if Developer Zone is supposed to be for the Dev mod, or if it's for the main game.)
