Hello everyone! Connor here! So, there's a lot I wanna talk about in this update, which go as follows.
Tailsonic the Fox
Vs. Tailsonic V3
Music Development
Vs. Tailsonic Plus
Vinyl Album Concept
Sonic WindowsZone: Tailsonic Edition
The Zen Hill Police Department
The Project Tailsonic Spreadsheet
Alright, let's get started!
Tailsonic the Fox
So, of course, the main thing to mention is Tailsonic the Fox. I've been doing quite a bit of updating to the Story Document, and I can now gladly say that the storyline for Act 1 is finished! It might be a little bit short, though. But, then again, it depends on how it fits story-wise.
2. Vs. Tailsonic V3 (alignment is not perfect but whatev)
I've recently released the second Pre-release demo for Friday Night Funkin': Vs. Tailsonic V3, which includes a new Test difficulty. This portion will not necessarily contain spoilers for what's to come in the full demo. The main reason I'm mentioning the V3 update is because, along with the Tailsonic the Fox Story Document's finished Act 1, I've decided to make a storyline for Tailsonic's NEW week in Vs. Tailsonic V3. The only spoiler I'm giving is that unlike V1, where Tailsonic explains the tracks and why they were named their names over 3 times, this only happens once in the new week during the start of Old Zen, because, and this is also mentioned in the dialogue, players of Vs. Tailsonic V3 might not get why the track's name is "Old Zen". Both the story document for Tailsonic the Fox and Vs. Tailsonic V3 will remain private as they contain plenty of spoilers. (I also almost forgot to mention that this mod is currently taking a break from public releases to comply with Tailsonic the Fox's release.)
3. Music Development
Please note that this section talks about the development of the IN-GAME tracks, not the original Online Sequencer versions (I have decided that the OS ones are base versions of the in-game ones.). As you guys may know (if you've been on my YouTube or on my SoundCloud), there was an upload I made for the new in-game version of Sky City. This was uploaded both to YouTube and SoundCloud. However, there has been more new in-game versions of tracks that haven't been uploaded yet (beside the reference to the new Base Zone in VT+'s Popularity (will get to that later!)). These include, along with Sky City, Base Zone, Shop Menu, and Secret Zen Zone. The in-game versions have extensions because I wanted them to feel a bit newer. Anyway, moving on.
4. Vs. Tailsonic Plus
You've probably heard a little bit about this from the last Blog post here, and from a few extra tracks on my SoundCloud. Vs. Tailsonic Plus is an upcoming expansion to Vs. Tailsonic, which is planned to contain more of the Online Sequencer tracks that haven't made it to the previous versions. This is being mentioned specifically because the devlopment of the mod's music, as most of them are reduxes or re-imagined versions of previous tracks, including Popularity, as it now directly references Online Sequencer's version that I made a long while ago. [I don't know why I didn't just name it Base Zone, as that's pretty much all it is.] There are a few other tracks, such as the Plus version of Sarcasm (composed by me, original version by BlixerTheGamer), which adds a bit of an extension to the original, and smooths out a few parts, and there's also an unpublic version of a Plus version for the Tic track, which, this time has a complete instrumental, and has a few modifications. (Spoiler: It thankfully still has that highly referenced part in there) So, yeah. A lot of stuff to look forward to for that. Anyway, moving on.
5. Vinyl Album Concept
This was an idea I literally just thought of a little bit a go, as I was watching FOX 9, and I heard about Vinyls getting popular again. This gave me the idea to make concept art, mainly for a Tailsonic the Fox OFFICIAL ALBUM Vinyl cover. (the art has not been made yet btw) I am also planning to make Vinyl versions of other proejcts, such as Vs. Tailsonic. That's pretty much all for this one.
6. Sonic WindowsZone: Tailsonic Edition
This one is going to be short. A long while ago, I was planning on making V4.0 of Sonic WindowsZone: Tailsonic Edition, but the release was heavily delayed because of how busy I've been on other projects. Finally, after a long while, I made a long-awaited Development Update to the mod. This is only just an update, and there is no new files for it yet. Moving on.
7. The Zen Hill Police Department
Don't do this right now, but when you go to the Credits page on our site (change the url or find it on the Search Results page), if you scroll down to the bottom, you'll see a credit to the Zen Hill Police Department, in a very unusual font. This was concepted by me, as a way to fit into the storyline for Scribble Dot's full backstory, as there's supposed to be a new post published on their site that says "Scribble Dot escapes from prison", but has not been uploaded yet. There is a full backstory, but it contains a lot of spoilers, so all I'm gonna say is that even though Scribble Dot's the true villain, it's the same as what happened to Fiercebot, who is still labeled as the main villain. Fiercebot was originally a good guy until he got corrupted by Scribble Dot (pre-story plot of the main game). However, Scribble Dot wasn't always the bad guy. He was also a good guy until he got corrupted by Dark Matter. Dark Matter is not a villian, but it is a substance that can corrupt anything that touches it.
Well, I thought that'd be a small spoiler, but I guess that's good for the theorists who wanna make theorys about Tailsonic the Fox, I guess.
8. The Project Tailsonic Spreadsheet
The Project Tailsonic Spreadsheet was a development spreadsheet I made for this a long while ago, and I decided to make it public as I was creating it. However, for a looooong while, this spreadsheet remained not being updated. This was until I decided to add a bit more information to the spreadsheet, and, if you look on it now, I did so much, but then I decided to randomly fill in a random spot with information. The reason I did this is, and a lot of people don't know this, is because I like bessing with random number generators. The bits of information you see on there was basically just me messing with Google's Pick a number generator. I may or may not plan on fixing this, because I think it's kind of interesting. Although, it might not be as interesting to the fans reading the spreadsheet, as they'll think there's a lot of holes in the info.
Anyway, that should be about it for this update! I hope you found this informational. I will probably be working on the spreadsheet after this, so, yeah.
